Samuel Langhorne Clemens, known by the pseudonym Mark Twain (Florida, Missouri, November 30, 1835 - Redding, Connecticut, April 21, 1910) was a popular comedian and writer

Samuel Clemens was born in the small village of Florida, Missouri, where his parents had migrated about a wealthy uncle, John, owner of a shop, a farm and some twenty black slaves. After four years, his family moved to nearby Hannibal (Missouri) river port on the Mississippi River and began his studies there. Hannibal was the inspiration for the fictional town of St. Petersburg in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. At that time, Missouri was a slave state and the young Twain was familiar with slavery, a theme later explored in his writings.

His father died of pneumonia in March 1847, when twain was 12. Without completing their education, entered the following year apprenticeship in printing and became a printer. In 1851 he began to publish some short stories of travel in the Journal of Muscatine, who belonged to his older brother Orion. With this brother undertake various other adventures in search of easy money after signing the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo in 1848.

Meanwhile, working in the printing of St.  Louis, Cincinnati, New York, Philadelphia and other cities and later a pilot [1] of a steamer, an experience that marked him deeply.  During the Civil War was Confederate soldier, after which began a lumber business and no luck silver mine in Nevada. ü  Injun Joe: He was a murderer who liked to kill people and make them suffer.

ü  The Widow Douglas:  Is the widow of the judge's mother Becky Thatcher.

ü  Mr. Jones: Mr. Neighbor was the widow of Douglas.

ü  Mr. Dobbins: It was the public school principal.

ü  Billy: Is a classmate of Tom.

ü  Johnny Miller: Tom classmat

ü  Judge Thatcher: County judge, Brother Jeff and father of Becky.

ü  Mr. Walters: Superintendent of Sunday school is a very sincere and honest at heart, felt great reverence for things and sacred places.

  *PLOT*

Approach

From Chapter 1 we begin to realize how all the adventures begin and Tom Sawyer child's problems, so miso is made mention of the secondary characters in the play as well as Aunt Polly, Sydney, Jim, Ben Rogers, among many more therefore we can consider that exposure node and grow at the same time. Knot

It all started one night when Tom and Huck decided to go to the cemetery to bury a cat when they saw a vult, which were two men out a corpse in a wheelbarrow they had tied with a bow, they did not sound very scared of anything and Tom and his friend saw it all and vowed to remain silent.  When I get the trial of Mr. Potter. During that time Tom was sick with measles, does everything possible not to go to school, he steals in the pantry, a thousand more mischief.    Then one day Tom met the group's new partner: Rebecca Thatcher, with whom he lived the best of his adventures, as both were lost in a cave for three days and got out boldly.

Outcome
While in the cave Tom identifies the Indian Joe and see how this hidden treasure. When the two boys manage to get out, sent to seal the cave and Indian Joe dies. Everyone in town were greeted warmly and Tom is listed as a hero. (Tom was in love with Becky). When Tom decides to go find the treasure along with his friend Huck, both rescue the treasure and divide it. Had no need anymore.

Huck was adopted by the Widow Douglas, initially had trouble adjusting to their new life but accustomed, because Tom told her to join his band of thieves need to be a respectable guy and what better than living with Ms . Douglas.

*Literary Devices*

ü The book has 214 pages. The story consists of 34 chapters and an epilogue in which states that no one knows the continuation of the life of Tom, after finding the treasure, as it is only the life of a boy and not a man.Has a logical sequence, we only need to mention is that the exposure and the knot grow together. The outcome of the work falls into the hands of the reader.

Antagonism

In one of the chapters of Tom Sawyer, we find an antagonism is at The gravedyard which happens when Tom Sawyer and Huck are two men in the cemetery and removed a dead body with lamps and a truck came out while Tom and Huck hid on a tree, and when observed were the Injun Joe and Muff Potter! They were surprised which you arms after a conflict between them. The doctor will then hit the Injun Injun Joe looks to get even a knife and the doctor grabbed a piece of wood and beat between them. After seeing that Muff Potter, and Dr. Tom and Huck were drawn ran out of fear and Injun Joe is staying there. After seeing what happened Tom and Huck swear on a piece so say nothing.

ü  Interpretation.

For me having read this book helped me much to my learning, but also is a book that caught my attention from the outset because it is based on the adventures of a little boy who is very mischievous which to many jokes and made them just for entertainment and fun for the author of the book that was one of the best literary narrative to recreate life on the banks of the river missisiipi.

In the story shows a mixture of dreams and childish mischief making as a hero of Tom Sawyer, besides the author tries to reflect the life of the plasma and by a small but engaged in the scenes. This is a very good book because we realize that you can make a relationship with the world today, that the youth of today are in a similar role to that of Tom as some things between ignored Bulgarian, but also as the writer was based on old habits where children had to work and obey their parents and even beat them and also they were naughty and went out to the streets to make Picardie as what the author reflects on his work.

And you can tell how the author uses irony and mischief of a child for many adventures in the plot. Mark Twain is a fantasy writer, full of imagination, as evidenced by the manner in which idealizes the adventures of Tom. His way of narration is witty, full of comedy and humor, making the reader back to his childhood and understands the character.  Most of his works were trying to teach the way of life near the Mississippi River.

  *Vocabulary Section.*

 *Personal Response Journals.*

In my opinion one of the most important parts that developed in the plot was the scene at the cemetery where Tom and walked Juck burying a cat, which were met with surprise, saw a 2 man they were digging up a corpse, Tom met the guilty and then work up the courage to denounce them.
Likewise one of the most important conflicts which generated a climate of increased tension was where Tom and Becky were lost in the cave, but eventually the two find the exit, but before Tom finds a treasure which does not have that Tom after any type of need and realize the hideout of Injun Joe. And it is noteworthy that every adventure is filled with humor and ingenuity.

What I would like to ask the actor is what happened after the defendants?And what that decides to end his work well?

  *Conclusion*

By way of conclusion I think reading about the adventures of Tom Sawyer, is a very good book and no interpretive difficulty as only Mark Twain tells the story of a boy who lives on the Mississippi River Orrillo in which we convey all his humor and ingenuity to give more realism to his work.  We also rebuked reflects as undisciplined children of American society.

And not only that because we realize how Mark Twain reflects all desire to live in a small guy, plus he is very descriptive with the characters, though he strives a little more in the countryside or places where the characters work .
It is a very good book as a little bit with the subject reading the paper over them and draws much attention.

 *Portfolio reflection.*

With the creation of the portfolio, each of us have learned many new things because it has not been an easy job to develop have taken great care and effort since we started reading the book.
From my point of view has helped me because as students we have tried to analyze each of the parties to ask us, trying the way everything will go smoothly. So we have made important criticisms of aspects of the book and have taken great care of it. In addition to this we have increased our level of reading and that is very good for the better in those details that we fail.
Creating a portfolio help us put in practice the different skills they possess as well as our creativity, originality, imagination and many other things.
